“I remember meeting some guys who were just… they would just say, 'I’m positive, I’m HIV positive,' end of story, they didn’t flinch, they didn’t show any shame and to me those people were my heroes. I wanted so much to be like them. I wanted to just live that truth, but I guess, for the person that I am, it’s just taken me the time to find that strength.”
